The XR series is a high-performance shredder that is utilised as pre-shredder or single-phase shredding solution. It is both low maintenance and easy to maintain with a long service life. The smooth operation of your system is ensured with replacement parts available within 48 hours and the option for remote troubleshooting!

The XR series is a very energy-efficient and low-speed, single-shaft shredder that was specifically designed for shredding coarse and medium-sized municipal solid waste (MSW), commercial and industrial waste (C&I) as well as for recycling scrap wood and bulky waste. It is often used as a pre-shredder in a comprehensive system or simply as a single-phase shredding concept.

Thanks to minimum operating costs at maximum performance, the new waste shredder is a real innovation that particularly stands out with its smart technology. The revolutionary UNTHA Eco Drive concept ensures up to 50% less energy consumption compared to commonly available electro-hydraulic drive options.

The utilisation of cutting-edge synchronous motors achieves a maximum level of efficiency, which makes the UNTHA Eco Drive one of the most energy efficient drive systems on the market. In addition, maintenance expenditures can be reduced to a minimum as coupling, belt, hydraulic pumps and shaft stub are no longer required.

In order to meet individual customer requirements, the new XR series can be equipped with a ripper or a cutter system. In combination with the patented XR screen bar system or with different perforated screens, this ensures a specified fraction size of 400 to 30 mm. Depending on the material property and perforated screen diameter, throughput performance is between 10 t/h and 70 t/h.

The rotors are protected against wear by welded-on Hardox plates and are thus particularly resistant to abrasive materials.

Accessories

Adjustable main cutting bar

The adjustable main cutting bar offers you the option to adjust the cutting opening. The shredder can be optimally adjusted for the material to be shredded and the required discharge fraction.

This option is only available for the "cutter system"..

 

Fire-extinguishing system

We don't let anything burn. In terms of fire protection and fire-extinguishing systems, we rely on the expertise of leading providers of fire-extinguishing systems. A camera monitors the discharge conveyor belt and is able to activate the fire-extinguishing system within milliseconds in the event of spark formation.

 

Service platform

A service platform provides you with an easy, secure and ergonomic access to the machine in the event of servicing or maintenance.

 

Control cabinet room

We recommend that our customers use a control room to protect the electric control. Thanks to the positive pressure, the electric control cabinet and the frequency transformer are protected against dirt and dust, which increases their service life and minimizes their vulnerability.

 

Hopper

We offer different hopper shapes that are exactly adapted to your infeed type. Regardless of whether you need a hopper for a wheel bearing infeed or a hopper with a grabber infeed – we will always have a suitable solution available.

 

Overbelt magnets

In terms of separating metallic iron-containing parts from the shredded material we collaborate with leading manufacturers in the separation technology field. The overbelt magnet is installed above the discharge conveyor belt and reliably separates the iron-containing parts from the output material.

 

Conveyor technology

We offer suitable infeed, discharge and incline conveyor belts for our shredding machines, thereby ensuring smooth material transport.
